Why do you care about the environment?

When I was young, I spent 15 months in a Zen monastery in the middle of the Ventana Primitive Area, California, silencing the mind so it could better sense the sacred qualities of Being, including the vast wilderness around us. Today, I study how human beings around the planet are both creating and reacting to global climate change – and I hope for a deeper realization of how body/mind is natural.
